The USAID-funded Assistance for Families & Indigent Afghans to Thrive (AFIAT) project aims to conduct the AHS 2022/2023. The overall purpose of the project is to provide the data needed to assess the performance of Afghanistan's health care system by conducting a household level assessment of key health indicators with a focus on evolving perceptions and socio-cultural norms, with an emphasis on gender and youth, to guide implementation of high impact interventions for reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH), nutrition, and tuberculosis. The AHS 2022 will help to understand and monitor changes in household and community motivations, attitudes, habits (e.g., health expenditures), and other health information.

The main objectives are to: i) provide an independent and evidence-based assessment of the EU’s past and current external action support in the area of connectivity in the transport and energy sectors, and ii) based on this assessment, provide lessons learnt and recommendations for decision-makers at EU level to inform ongoing and future decision making.

The general objective of this evaluation is to provide an independent comprehensive analysis of the performance of the EU Health Programme (between 12/2013 and 07/2023) in the 8 beneficiary provinces in DRC, paying particular attention to the different levels of results in comparison with its expected results, and the reasons that explain possible gaps in the achievement of results. The main lessons, conclusions and recommendations that result from it will help to improve current and future interventions. This analysis will include the analysis of gender equality and women's empowerment, environment and climate change adaptation, the principle of leaving no one behind and the human rights-based approach.

The global objective of this evaluation was twofold. First, it aims to provide the relevant services of the European Union and interested stakeholders with an independent overall assessment of the performance of the "Investment Support to the Wadi Al Arab Water System II Project and EU support to the Water sector in Jordan," with a particular focus on the different levels of results measured against the expected objectives and the reasons behind these results.
