Providing support to the EU Member States for the implementation of EU nature legislation in the following areas:

• Completing the Natura 2000 network of sites
• Improving the protection, restoration and management of Natura 2000 sites
• Improving the conservation of species and habitats though a more effective integration of

their protection requirements into other national sectoral legislation and policies

• Improving the quality and usefulness of reported data under the nature directives

(Art.17 Habitats Directive, Art.12 Birds Directive)

• Supporting the development of National Nature Restoration Plans under the Nature

Restoration Law, in particular as regards the targets that build upon the Birds and the
Habitats Directives

• Sharing successful projects and best practises in areas such as species and habitat

protection or recovery, innovative approaches to site management, restoration of habitats
and ecosystems, biodiversity monitoring, including in protected areas

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is:

• to support the global transition to inclusive, nature-positive, climate-neutral, resilient, equitable and sustainable development pathways.

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action aims to contribute is to strengthen the economic and trade relation between the European Union and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The overall objective is to contribute to a more capable and responsive public sector towards citizens’ needs and businesses as well as to advance and respond to demands of EU integration processes.
The specific objective is to improve public administration to become more efficient, accountable, transparent, inclusive and effective at national and local level.

The contract is expected to provide high-quality technical expertise/support to the Royal Government of Bhutan for strengthening local governance, decentralisation and gender mainstreaming in Bhutan under the ‘Strengthening inclusive local governance and decentralisation in Bhutan' budget support programme. This programme, including capacity building actions, is expected to improve implementation of the local governance and decentralisation sectors, through supporting civil society and improving gender equality and women empowerment, environment, climate, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods, democracy and poverty.

The project aims to support the European Commission in improving the quality of performance, institutional learning and accountability for a better targeted and more sustainable impact of EU external action. It provides a number of services which, together, aim at reinforcing the quality of programming, intervention design, monitoring, reporting and evaluation processes within DG INTPA and DG NEAR.
The targeted units are INTPA.D4 and NEAR.A4, responsible, among other aspects, of performance, results and evaluation.

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is to strengthen democratic foundations
of the target countries as part of the ADD, by fostering independent and pluralistic media, access to
information and the fight against disinformation.
The specific objectives (Outcomes) of this contract are as follows:

• Improved legal protection frameworks and mechanisms for journalists, especially women, and

independent media;

• Strengthened capacities of governmental bodies, civil society organisations and media actors to

detect and respond to disinformation campaigns.

• Strengthened relations and collaborations between different stakeholders so as to maximise impact of

sustainability of results.

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is to assist the Government of Serbia to improve efficiency, accountability and transparency of public administration and the quality of service delivery and management of public finances.

Assistance and technical support concerning the LIFE Programme, a funding instrument of the EC which encompasses: the monitoring and ex post evaluations of projects co-financed by LIFE, support to the LIFE Units of DG ENV and CINEA in technical and financial terms, support to the beneficiaries and advising them on reporting procedures, standards, presentation of project results and dissemination actions, presentation and dissemination of the LIFE programme and project results.

The global objective is to support the implementation of the Green Agenda in the Republic of Serbia.
