Capacity Development in the Transport Sector in Liberia - Process Consultancy for Team and Stakeholder Management
Background of the assignment was the enlargement and partial re-orientation of the GIZ-funded transport project. Main changes in the project design included the addition of a third and fourth output in the areas of private sector development and vocational training for the transport sector. In addition, the project duration was proposed to be extended by one year to 07/2018 due to the delays in implementation caused by the Ebola outbreak.
The assignment consisted of two phases:
- Phase 1 took place in December 2015 and consisted of the facilitation of a team workshop based on the GIZ Capacity Works methodology as well as process consulting with the formulation of recommendations for actions to be taken with regard to the project steering structure, cooperation management, management of processes and learning and innovation within the project;
- Phase 2 took place in May 2016 with the facilitation of a planning workshop with Liberian partners and a subsequent team workshop during which the next steps for project implementation were defined.
