This project focuses on supporting the Kenyan Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MoEP) in reviewing and updating the National Energy Policy (2018) to align with emerging energy technologies and the country's ambitious climate goals. Specifically, the project will provide technical assistance in drafting a new energy policy that promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean technologies. Key activities include organizing stakeholder consultations, synthesizing inputs from various sectors, and drafting a comprehensive policy document that reflects Kenya’s vision for a 100% renewable energy transition by 2030 and a 32% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
