Technical assistance to Invest for Jobs / GIZ Senegal: providing advisory services to the CGER Network
The programme Partnership for Employment and Strengthening of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises under the Special Initiative Jobs (SI Jobs) funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German International Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ) aims to increase job-creating growth of African and European companies operating in Senegal. The programme operates throughout the country and is supervised by the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation (MEPC).
In order to achieve its ambitious objectives of improving the business climate for investment, strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises, the SI Jobs programme relies on three key levers.
- Output 1: Improving the investment conditions for African and European companies in Senegal through the identification and support of Senegalese projects with investment potential
- Output 2: Increasing the efficiency of selected SMEs
- Output 3: Improving the business ecosystem in the ICT and agribusiness sectors
This assignment is designed to contribute to the objectives of
Output 2 and
Output 3 of the SI-Jobs Senegal programme.
The service is articulated around 5 main tasks (See services provided). These tasks aim at providing technical assistance (TA) and capacity building to the Rural Economy and Management Centres (CGER) of the Senegal River Valley so that they can consolidate and Senegal River Valley so that they can consolidate and develop their missions, namely: to accompany the development of the companies, members of the system.
