This opportunity is still at prequalification stage, so the following information is indicative. The dates given are also estimates based on the deadlines and duration of procedures typically set by the EU Contracting Authorities. (Please note that the Terms of Reference are not available until the tender stage.) 

The action will support the implementation of strategic communication activities designed to raise awareness, understanding and perception of the EU and its partnership in Indonesia, in line with the priorities identified in the Regional Multi annual Indicative Programme as well as relevant global and regional strategies. This will be done through 360-degree Global Gateway communication campaigns. 

Indicative starting date: 01 December 2026.
Estimated duration: 36 months.

Job description

This is an indicative profile based on the information available at prequalification (ToR not available until the tender stage). 

  • Oversee development of visual and written communication materials
  • Monitor social issues and emerging trends to keep messaging relevant and consistent across channels.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with brand guidelines and ethical standards.

Requirements

Qualifications & skills: 

  • Relevant master’s degree (creative writing/communications) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong digital and graphic design (portfolio).
  • Professional English (written/spoken) and Bahasa as an asset.
  • Perfect understanding of Indonesian audience (esp. youth 18-34y) and of Indonesian market.
 General experience: 

  • Minimum 7 years in communication campaigns/PR/marketing strategy and implementation.
Specific experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on creative work (design, branding, marketing, storytelling).
  • Minimum 4 years leading creative teams (design/copy/video, etc.).
  • Proven copy & design capability.
  • Proven campaign visualization from concept/storyboarding to execution.
  • Indonesia experience is required and Southeast Asia experience is an asset.

Additional information

*To be confirmed whether this will be a full-time in-country position or home-based with frequent missions to Indonesia.
