Particip, in partnership with Helvetas Bhutan, is looking for a Senior Database Developer and Trainer (International Consultant) for our EU-funded project: EU Technical Assistance - Strengthening Local Governance, Decentralisation & Gender Mainstreaming (Bhutan).

Requirements

Education: 
     - Graduate university degree (Master degree or equivalent qualification) in Information Technology or similar
Experience:
    - 10+ years in database systems’ design and development and producing associated documentation, including in developing countries
    - At least 3 years experience in the design and delivery of training courses
    - Skilled in coaching/mentoring
    - Excellent oral and written English (C2 level)
    - Experience of Ruby programming language.
    - Experience of designing and reviewing Logframe indicators.
    - Some experience and knowledge in addressing gender equality issues is preferred.

Skills:
    - Good facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    - Familiarity with global/regional gender issues

Additional information

Location: Home based (remote) with approximately 2 to 3 on-site missions to Bhutan
