Working days: 32
Specific activity: Joint EU-India Initiative on Upcoming EU Regulation: Webinar Series on CS3D and CSRD Compliance
Activity Background and Context: The European Union is advancing its sustainability agenda with the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). These regulations mandate that companies, including those outside the EU with substantial business in the region, implement due diligence processes to identify, prevent, and mitigate human rights and environmental impacts within their operations and supply chains, and also report on their sustainability practices. This joint EU-India initiative aims to support Indian companies in meeting these new requirements through a series of capacity-building webinars.
Role and responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead the CS3D/CSRD compliance project, ensuring successful execution of educational initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Strategic Guidance: Provide expert advice on the implications of the CS3D and CSRD for Indian MSMEs, focusing on practical guidance for due diligence and sustainability reporting.
- Event Management: Oversee the planning, organization, and delivery of a comprehensive webinar series aimed at enhancing MSMEs' understanding of CS3D and CSRD requirements.
- Material Development: Create and distribute educational materials, toolkits, and resources to support MSMEs in implementing due diligence processes and meeting sustainability reporting requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including MSMEs, industry associations, and government bodies, to foster collaboration and facilitate compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Compile detailed reports summarizing project outcomes, including feedback from webinars, policy recommendations, and proposed next steps.
