Project description
Meldea provides the European Commission (DG INTPA, DG NEAR and FPI) with a series of services, carefully geared to support the respective units, DG INTPA.D4, DG NEAR.A4 and FPI.4, in fulfilling their mission of improving the quality of performance, the accountability and learning, with the ultimate objective to ensure the highest possible sustainable impact of interventions financed by the EU external action.
One of these services includes the management of Capacity4Dev (https://capacity4dev.europa.eu), DG INTPA’s corporate knowledge sharing platform that connects development professionals. It aims to improve capacity development through knowledge sharing as a means to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of EU development cooperation. In order to do so, efficient community management in the form of tools, methodologies and activities to support the user experience is essential.
Job description
Main tasks will include:
- Coordinating the community management strategy to devise user-centered activities to share/ promote content and enhance action on the platform.
- Making recommendations on new trends, tools and methodologies related to community management;
- Developing strategies to trigger members’ continuous online participation in groups;
- Moderating and posting content on the platform, and interacts with users;
- Conducting usability tests with users in order to provide recommendations for improving user experience on the platform;
- Ensuring the smooth onboarding of new members on the platform.
- Liaising with Groups/Projects/Resources Owners/Administrators to support them in their (non-technical) needs;
- Supporting Groups/Projects/Resources Owners/Administrators advising best practices to manage their spaces through resources and webinars.
- Providing insights on the activities on the platform and harvesting group content to be promoted on Capacity4dev.
- Monitoring activities on the platform and ongoing check of spaces to revamp/archive/merge/delete.
- Contributing to the performance monitoring and reporting of online participation.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent diploma).
- At least 2 years of professional experience.
Assets:
- Ability to operate in English and French.
- Experience with production of editorial content and management of multimedia and digital products/tools for communication, learning and/or knowledge sharing purposes (learning material, infographics, data visualisation, videos, video-interviews, documentaries, articles, reports etc.).
- Experience with digital content management with the use of software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier.
- Experience with social media management, community management, data analytics and outreach strategy for user-generated online platforms.
- Experience on interventions implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia & Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, the European Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood and the Enlargement regions.
- Knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
