Technical expertise to identify areas of intervention to improve the management of Lebanon's foreign affairs
The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign affairs and Emigrants (MoFAE) is embarking on a reform process and is seeking assistance by the international community. It has engaged in the development and identification of tools and facilities to improve the management of Lebanon's foreign affairs and to maintain relations with its large emigrant communities. However, there is a need to improve its internal administrative procedures and automating services provided to the Lebanese Diaspora through the introduction of new and advanced methods for structural reforms and improvement of governance. Within this context, this mission assisted the EU Delegation in identifying areas of intervention to improve the services provided to the Lebanese Emigrants and to increase the job efficiency and productivity of the MoFAEās employees as well as of the different Lebanese embassies around the world.
Global objective:
To assist Lebanon in identifying and formulating a reform development programme to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants (MoFAE) to be financed under the Annual Action Programme (AAP) 2016
Specific objective:
To identify the nature, the budget and the activities to be financed by the EU for the future EU support to the MoFAE in Lebanon
