This impact evaluation fed into the policy evaluation of the Dutch food security programme 2012-2015. The Ethiopia case study covered:
1) An impact evaluation of the Dutch food security country programme, and
2) An impact evaluation of one food security project with household level effects within the Dutch food security programme.
The policy review served accountability of the ministry to parliament, and learning for policy development. This external and independent impact evaluation above all provided evidence of the contribution of the Dutch-funded interventions to food security impact.

The global objective of this assignment was to inform and promote the EU initiative for African Wildlife Conservation to the biodiversity and ecosystems international community. It is expected that the promotion of the initiative through different promotional material and communication events, will facilitate and enhance awareness raising and donor coherence and coordination towards international targets.

Main objective:
To inform and raise awareness among citizens, key players and stakeholders about the EU’s continuous contribution to achieving the MDGs as well as its role in defining the post-2015 agenda.
Specific objectives:

• Production of a brochure building on previous publications to review progress on the MDGs.
• Production of accompanying products including promotional material, fact sheets, opinion articles, infographics, videos and editing services.

The overall objective of the project was to support China in meeting the environmental, energy, and carbon intensity targets defined in the 12th Five-Year Development Plan. The overall objective of the evaluation was to assess the extent to which the project has achieved its purpose to date, what the level of attainment of concrete outputs was and to make recommendations on its potential for a successful completion.

C'était d'évaluer la contribution des actions menées par le programme ECOFAC V (CEEAC, RAPAC et ses partenaires) à la réalisation des objectifs définis initialement par la convention de financement, à savoir :

• Le renforcement des capacités de gestion des aires protégées, des sites d'intérêt biologique et des forêts du Bassin du Congo, ainsi que la mise en place des outils d'appui au développement économique durable des populations riveraines.
• Le soutien aux institutions régionales, et particulièrement le RAPAC, dans leurs efforts pour garantir à long terme la conservation de la biodiversité et la gestion durable des ressources naturelles nécessaires au développement intégré de la région Afrique centrale.
• Le renforcement de l'intégration sous régionale et la rationalisation des moyens déployés dans le secteur de la conservation des écosystèmes forestiers d'Afrique centrale.
• Le projet participera directement à la lutte contre la pauvreté en permettant aux populations de valoriser de manière durable et à leur bénéfice les ressources naturelles disponibles.

The overall objective of this assignment was to contribute to support democracy, institution building and
transparency in Niger in the context of the country’s upcoming elections scheduled for 21
February 2016 (first round) and 20 March 2016 (second round- possible run-off for presidential
elections). Elements of the report may eventually be shared with Electoral Authorities and the
Government of Niger.

This mission provided assitance to Delegation of the European Union, the services of Chad’s NAO and the services of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Chad, in cooperation with other technical ministries in identifying and formulating a programme to implement specific objective No. 1 (SO1) of sector 2 of the NIP under the 11th EDF concerning the ‘sustainable management of protected areas and fragile ecosystems’.

The Evaluation of Budget support in Burkina Faso (2009-2014) assessed all the budget support operations conducted in the country between 2009 and 2014. The study was managed jointly by the European Union, the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Burkina Faso (MEF), the technical secretariat of the Strategy for Accelerated Growth and Sustainable Development (SCADD) and the representatives of the partners providing budget support (African Development Bank, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, World Bank).

The specific objective of the assignment was to populate the monitoring matrix established in the National Indicative Programme (NIP) by compiling data and information for establishing baseline and target indicators.
