Interim evaluation of the implementation of the EU Aid Volunteers Initiative
The European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps Regulation shall strengthen the Union's capacity of providing needs-based humanitarian assistance, and contribute to building resilience of vulnerable people. It lays down the rules and procedures for the operation of the EU Aid Volunteers.
The interim evaluation of the implementation of the EU Aid Volunteers Initiative specifically evaluated the results obtained and the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the implementation of the Regulation, as well as the impact in the humanitarian sector and the cost-effectiveness of the programme. It covered the evaluation criteria of relevance, coherence, EU added value, effectiveness, and efficiency/ cost effectiveness.
