The overall objective was to enhance Pakistani and European citizens awareness and understanding about the role the EU is playing in Pakistan and how it is aiming to contribute positively towards poverty alleviation, economic growth and critical reforms in support of a more stable, democratic and prosperous country.
The purpose of this contract was to support the EU Delegation to Pakistan (EUD), and in particular the Operations section, to strengthen its messaging and capacity to communicate on the outcome and impact of EU development cooperation in the field of rural development.
The specific objective of this assignment was achieved through two complementary sets of activities:

• To develop, and update, a communication strategy focusing on EU development cooperation in the field of rural development in Pakistan, harmonised with the Delegation's other communication strategies and activities.
• To raise awareness amongst the Pakistani and EU populations about the role of the European Union as a development partner to Pakistan, focusing in particular on rural development.
