Professional Service Provider for Third Party Monitoring of UN Women Country Programme in Afghanistan

UN Women, established in July 2010, promotes gender equality and women's empowerment by eliminating discrimination and advocating for equal rights. It leads UN efforts to mainstream gender equality and works with governments and civil society. Due to security challenges, worsened by COVID-19, UN Women Afghanistan (ACO) is assisted by the service provider to deploy monitoring personnel in inaccessible areas, ensuring accountability, transparency, and efficiency in its programs.
The service provider is responsible for:
  • Conducting the monitoring visits, mobilizing a trusted team of field monitors.
  • Ensuring sufficient capacity is in place for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensuring the implementing teams have required number of female staff to enable access to implementing partners ana beneficiaries onsite.
  • Ensuring relevant protection and privacy protocols are in place to administer the tools, managing all cost-related to administration including logistics arrangements for data collection, field visits, interviews etc. in close consultation an agreement with UN Women.
