Global objective
The global objective of the “Sustainability Pathways for EU-Brazil Business Ties” project is to strengthen the EU’s bilateral and multilateral engagement with Brazil on external impacts of EU Green Deal policies and regulatory frameworks with emphasis on the deforestation regulation.
Specific objective(s)

• Engage with key stakeholders in Brazil to enhance understanding of the objective and content of the identified regulations, with emphasis on regulation on deforestation and forest degradation;
• Gather key information and provide feedback to EU services in the development of their implementing tasks;
• Understand the social, economic and environmental impact of the identified regulations in Brazil;
• Identify gaps and opportunities in current regulations and practices in Brazil where further work would facilitate meeting EU requirements.
