Job description

For our head office in Freiburg, Germany, we are currently seeking a Project Manager (m/f/d) in the area of public sector support and/or economic development

(Entry date 1 April 2025)


Scope of responsibilities and tasks


As a Project Manager (PM), you will play a key role in managing our international cooperation projects while also supporting our business development activities. Our approach focuses on fostering a culture of self-responsibility and supporting the professional growth of our staff.

As our Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of projects (technical and contractual management, financial control)
  • Monitoring and support (technical and administrative) of our international project teams worldwide
  • Providing technical advice upon specific needs of our projects
  • Liaison and networking with clients, implementation partners, service providers worldwide
  • Business development, an important part of the day-to-day work (assessing business opportunities, identifying project teams, preparing technical proposals etc.)
  • Undertaking of project management and business development missions worldwide
  • Contribution to internal knowledge sharing and capitalisation

Requirements

Qualifications and skills


Academic background:

  • Master’s degree, ideally in Public administration, International development, Political sciences or Economics

Professional experience:
  • At least three (3) years of proven project management experience in international cooperation, acquired within an international cooperation agency and/or an internationally operating consultancy firm
  • Additional work or study experience abroad would be a strong asset

Soft skills:
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent self-organising skills
  • Strong affinity with project management
  • Proven analytical, conceptual and writing skills
  • Strong intercultural and communication skills

Languages:
  • English: very good (minimum requirement C1)
  • French: good (minimum requirement B2)

IT skills:

  • Strong command of Word and Excel
