Support the European Union (EU) Delegation to Myanmar's efforts to increase engagement with key audiences in a meaningful and conflict-sensitive way, in order to demonstrate the EU’s support to the people of Myanmar and promote EU values.

Job description

The Creative Director will act as close collaborator to the TL. She/He will have a key role in the inception, design, roll-out and execution of all campaigns and of the key events that will be organized under this contract.


Qualifications and skills:

  • Master Degree in Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or another related field;
  • Or in absence of a Masters, an undergraduate degree in the above mentioned disciplines, with an additional 3 years relevant professional experience on top of the professional experience listed below;
  • Or in the absence of an undergraduate and Master degree in one of the above mentioned disciplines, at least 6 years professional experience on top of the professional experience required below;
  • Demonstrated creative proficiency in graphic design, multimedia production and an advanced understanding of design principles;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 level);
  • Good knowledge of Burmese would be considered of added value.

General professional experience:
  • At least 3 years experience in creative leadership roles within advertising agencies, marketing departments or related fields;
  • Proven track record of successful campaign development and execution;
  • Experience managing creative teams and a strong understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour, with the ability to translate insights into creative strategies;

Specific professional experience:
  • At least 2 years of brand development experience including direct involvement in the development and evolution of brand identities for large organisations;
  • At least 2 years of experience in conceptualizing and overseeing the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, print and experiential components;
  • At least 2 years proven experience in creating digital content, social media campaigns, and a deep understanding of online user behaviour;
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing creative budgets effectively, optimizing resources to achieve maximum impact;
  • Proven professional experience working on and/or in Myanmar.
  • Professional experience of the following types will be taken into account positively:
    • Project management under EU procedures, and knowledge of EU visibility requirements;
    • Work experience in other South East Asian countries.
