Key expert 1: Team leader - Communication Strategist (minimum 450 expert days)
Project description
Support the European Union (EU) Delegation to Myanmar's efforts to increase engagement with key audiences in a meaningful and conflict-sensitive way, in order to demonstrate the EU’s support to the people of Myanmar and promote EU values.
Job description
She/he will be responsible for overall project management and implementation, overseeing the work of the other KEs and NKEs, as well as the project support staff, and maintaining close contact with the EUDEL.
Requirements
Qualifications and skills:
- Master Degree in communication, marketing, public relations, media, journalism or another related field;
- Or in the absence of a Masters, an undergraduate degree in one of the above mentioned disciplines, with an additional at least 3 years professional experience on top of the professional experience required below;
- Or in the absence of an undergraduate and Master degree in one of the above mentioned disciplines, at least 6 years professional experience on top of the professional experience required below;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 level);
General professional experience:
- At least 3 years experience in the fields of communication or knowledge management, organising communication events and campaigns involving use of promotion and information tools, publications, dealing with media, and with an extensive experience in developing and implementing external communication strategies including for public entities.
Specific professional experience:
- At least 2 years work experience managing projects as Team Leader (including staff management) in the field of communications, culture, social media, public diplomacy;
- At least 2 years work experience with communications campaigns and social media management;
- At least 2 years work experience involving the development of ToRs and procurement processes;
- Proven professional experience working on and/or in Myanmar.
- Professional experience of the following types will be taken into account positively:
- Project management under EU procedures, and knowledge of EU visibility requirements
- Work experience in other South East Asian countries.
