Project description
Particip GmbH is an international project management and consulting company with a focus on international development cooperation.
We work for various clients such as the European Union, World Bank, and national development agencies, such as GIZ and KfW.
We coordinate interdisciplinary multinational teams for short-term and long-term assignments in developing, transition and industrialised countries and support them with methodological and technical know-how.
To complement our team in Freiburg, we are looking for an Intern (m/f/d) 100%, 6-month contract, starting in October 2026
Job description
Assist in business development and tendering for projects in international development cooperation, which includes, among others:
- Expert identification and recruitment
- Administrative and logistical aspects of tender preparation
- Contribution to technical tenders and methodologies
- Communicating with partners/experts in English and, if applicable, French
Assist in the implementation and management of projects, including:
- Formatting project documentation in English and French (reports, presentations, minutes, and translations)
- Managing our information systems / databases
- Supporting on contractual, financial and administrative management
- Compiling documents and preparing invoices in close coordination with the responsible project manager
- Making travel arrangements, organising logistics and preparing visa applications
- Support with any other project management tasks that are part of our daily work
Requirements
Your profile
- You have an academic degree in fields such as international management, international business, economics, project management, international relations, communications and marketing.
- Previous experience working with MS Excel is compulsory. Comfortable managing structured worksheets and using common formulas.
- Very good MS Word skills, particularly for formatting documents
- Very good oral and written English skills (C2 in the Common European Framework), and good French skills are required. Knowledge of German and any additional language would be an asset
- You are proactive, flexible, service-oriented, reliable, and responsible
- Your qualities include attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and organise your work to adhere to deadlines and procedures
- You enjoy working in a team and have good intercultural communication skills
