Project description
The overall objective of this action contributes is to support the protection of the environment, improve its quality and contribute to actions and policies aimed at biodiversity conservation in Serbia.
Job description
The expert will support the identification, validation and management planning of Natura 2000 sites in Serbia, with a particular focus on bird species and Special Protection Areas (SPAs). Under the guidance of senior bird experts, the expert will compile and review bird datasets, identify information gaps, participate in field surveys and data verification, prepare maps and supporting documentation, and contribute to the preparation of bird-related Standard Data Forms (SDFs). The expert will also support the preparation of Management Plans by assessing bird species and habitats, identifying pressures and threats, and contributing to conservation objectives, management measures, monitoring and site zonation, while ensuring accurate documentation and close cooperation with the project team.
