The project "PASSMAR Outcome 2: National maritime legislative and regulatory frameworks are adopted and law enforcement is strengthened" was co-financed by the EU under the 11th European Development Fund. It aimed to enable ECCAS coastal states to prosecute cases of piracy and other maritime crimes in accordance with the Yaoundé Code of Conduct and to increase response and cooperation in Zones A and D.

The purpose of the Exploratory Mission was to collect factual information concerning this election process,
in line with the criteria contained in the Commission Communication on Electoral Assistance and Observation [COM(2000)191].

Integrated water resource management (IWRM) is of utmost importance to the Orange Senqu River Basin and the SADC region at large. Lesotho is the “water tower” of the region. All water related interventions in Lesotho are therefore transboundary in nature and have an immediate impact downstream.
The Overall Objective of the programme was: “ICM facilitates socio-economic development and adaptation to climate change in Lesotho”, while the Specific Objective ran: “ICM institutionalised and under full implementation in Lesotho, based on gender equality and climate adaptation principles”.

Global objective
The global objective of this assignment was enhancing Chinese CSO's capacities to contribute to governance and development processes in China.
Specific objective(s)

• Improve local CSOs capacity for better project management, including enhanced financial and contractual management capacities and standard procedures.
• Improve local CSOs' understanding of thematic/conceptual content in the field of social sectors, with focus on results and emphasis on the most vulnerable beneficiaries
• All EU funded actions apply rights-based approach and mainstream crosscutting objectives of the EU e.g. gender equality, youth, persons with disability, indigenous peoples, environment and climate change a.o.

The targeted CSOs were local Chinese CSOs, both those that have worked under EU-funded grant contract, but also those that never were contracted but may show interest.

In Madagascar, the Roadmap for EU involvement with civil society 2014-2017, which has been updated for the period 2018-2020, developed the common strategic framework for the EU and Member States to improve the impact, predictability and visibility of European actions towards civil society and to implement the three objectives of the 2012 statement.
In this context, the EUD wanted to achieve better coordination of EDF and budget line support in order to boost synergies and complementarity between actions and themes while improving their monitoring and assistance.
The general objective of the mission was to improve the efficiency of the Madagascar EUD's management and monitoring of current and future grants under the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) Thematic Programme and the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (MFA) commissions regularly meta-evaluations in order to synthesise the findings, explore the issues and assess the reliability of the decentralised evaluations.
The assessment included all decentralised evaluations completed in 2018-2020 and assessed i) the quality of the decentralized evaluations under consideration, ii) the overal quality of development coperation and its results based on the decentralized evaluations, iii) the utility and usefulness of the decentralized evaluations.

The main objective of this project was to assist the government of Bulgaria in fulfilling its obligations according to Article 12 of the Birds Directive.
The project included analyses and studies of species and habitats in the terrestrial part of the country and in coastal areas, in order to ensure up-to-date data and information on reporting under art. 12 of the birds
directive, including the development of various methodologies and pilot monitoring schemes,
their pilot implementation, evaluation of the results and a benefit-cost analysis.

The overall objective of the project was to increase international competitiveness of private sector of Montenegro with particular focus on SMEs.

Technical assessment of concept notes in accordance with guidelines provided by the Contracting Authority, based on the published evaluation grids.

Assisted the Government of Serbia to improve efficiency, accountability and transparency of public administration and the quality of service delivery and management of public finances, in line with the General and Specific for the release of fixed and variable tranches as set out in the Annex 1 a of the Financing Agreement for the Sector Reform Contract for Public Administration Reform and providing recommendations to the EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia concerning the value of the tranches to be disbursed.
